Welcome
Welcome to Accessibility at the NSW Curriculum and Learning Innovation Centre (CLIC). This blog aims to provide teachers with up-to-date information in the important field of adaptive technology.
To see the latest updates go to:
Adaptive (also called assistive) technology is equipment for use by people who have disabilities. It may be a purpose-built product or may be a generally available item which has been modified to meet particular needs. The focus here is on educational resources, rather than on the broader area of equipment which helps with daily living activities.
With appropriate equipment and relevant instruction, students who have a wide range of disabilities can be very successful.
It is crucial that teachers and their students are aware of the available options. Please explore the material on this site and follow the links to other helpful sites. If you want more information or ideas contact the Senior Education Officer, Accessibility at CLIC. Information will be added to this site regularly, so please check here often.
Andrew, thanks for informative website, especially the product reviews.
